Participation in extra-curricular activities is a privilege, and students will be expected to be in good standing academically. Coaches and directors will work with teachers to create a plan to improve grades if necessary.

Harding Athletics Code of Conduct

7th & 8th graders: Physicals and Concussion Fact Sheet form must be on file before athletes are allowed to participate. The Metro Care Connection, the Cedar Rapids Community School District’s school-based health center, may be able to assist with getting a sports physical.

Physical examinations are recommended for students entering kindergarten and grades 3, 6, 9, and 11. Forms are available in health offices or from your health care provider. Physicals are required for all 7th and 8th grade interscholastic sports. Physical examinations are valid for 12 months from the date of the physical. Iowa law allows a grace period not to exceed 30 days for expired physicals. A copy of the district's physical form can be downloaded by clicking this link: School Physical Form  Note that both pages of the school physical form are required for athletic participation.

Forms are available in health offices, on the district website or from your health care provider.
