Scholarships available to 8th Graders

Scholarships available to 8th Graders:

Through community partnerships, Harding offers 3 scholarships to 8th grade students at the end of the school year: US Bank Scholarship, Kirkwood ACCESS Scholarship, and Collins Community Credit Union Fine Arts Award. Applications may be picked up in the Counseling Office. All applications are due Friday, April 15th. No exceptions!

US Bank Scholarship-Upon college acceptance, $500 is awarded to two 8th graders based on financial need & commitment to academics. Students are presented with a $100 Visa gift card at the promotion ceremony.

Kirkwood ACCESS Scholarship-Upon acceptance to Kirkwood Community College, $6,000 is awarded to one 8th grader based on financial need and commitment to academics. Recipient must be a first generation college student (neither parent has a bachelor degree). Winner receives $100 per year of high school for educational expenses.

Collins Credit Union Fine Arts Award- Four students, who actively participate in band, orchestra, vocal or drama and intend on pursuing these endeavors in high school, will receive $200. Applicants are judged on their artistic dedication and ability, their future goals in their chosen artistic area, and their overall citizenship in the Harding school environment.
